No bag day

This day is greatly enjoyed by the students every year.  The fact that they do not have to carry books to school fills them with a sense of freedom and joy. They also look forward to the activities that the teachers design and conduct painstakingly.  The activities are intended to be fun and educative.

For our Kindergartners ‘jump as you say the alphabet’ activity was conducted. This was based on gross motor skill. It helps students expertise in alphabets and is also a good physical exercise, not to mention the fun element. They also enjoyed coloring the picture of their choice.

For our 1st graders, the children were blindfolded and encouraged to identify the sizes of various objects and as part of English activity, they played ‘rolling the dice’ to learn different types of nouns.

Our 2nd graders   brought their favourite vegetables from home and as a group tried to classify them. A quiz was also conducted. Later they enjoyed doing a coloring activity in which the children could experience the joy of creating their own colors by mixing the primary colors.

Annual day

The annual  day _2018 for  k-2 was celebrated  in a well organized  fashion. Mrs.Emily Titus, the principal of CSI Monahan Matriculation Higher secondary school was the guest of honor for the event. Her pungent talk on the 3 s, soap, soup and salvation hit home with the  gathering.  The celebration pursued with  the annual  report reading for the year 2018 _19 by the campus head Mrs.Soumady, which was succeeded by the prize distribution to students who achieved proficiency in academics and co- curricular activities  for  the  school year 2018-19.

The cherry  on top of the event was the cultural programs flaunted by our young students. While the junior kindergartners jigged and swayed to a rhapsody of music, the senior kindergartners  showcased the old school dance forms of the state, such as karagattam, mayilattam, poikal kuthiraiyattam and oiylattam.Classes 1 and 2 rendered different genre of dances under the umbrella "unity in diversity". Thus, this annual day celebration will always remain vivid on our minds and warm our hearts for the days to come.
